Post-London outcomes

The Shared Micromobility Alliance is a dynamic network of urban mobility leaders, industry partners, and advocates, dedicated to advancing shared micromobility systems by collaboratively developing effective and sustainable business models.

Our mission is to foster collaboration, innovation, and knowledge-sharing to create more sustainable, accessible, and efficient transportation ecosystems. We believe in the power of shared mobility to reduce congestion, lower carbon emissions, and enhance urban liveability.

Powered by the Cities Today Institute, this community facilitates discussions and  working group activities focused on best practices, emerging trends, regulatory frameworks, and the integration of shared micromobility into urban infrastructure.

"Very interesting discussion with a diverse group of equally interesting people, each with their own specific expertise.
One of the most instructive days I had in years."
"Very interesting forum with presentations from many different cities in Europe. Very stimulating to meet different actors working on the specific topic of micromobility."

Upcoming activities
In September 2024, the Cities Today Institute celebrated its inaugural Micromobility Forum in London. Based on our discussions and on the input we received, three groups have emerged to launch the Micromobility Association: Tenders & Business Models; Data & KPIs; and Infrastructure & Space.

Next steps will be to canvass all stakeholders for working group priorities and proposed outputs. This will include calls and consultation with cities which have agreed to become leads for those working groups.

With support from the Cities Today Institute, working groups will meet in city-only monthly sessions but will collaborate closely with members of the Stakeholder Advisory Group (SAG) on planning and outputs.
