The City Leadership Forum on Urban Innovation will be the 25th meeting for city leaders convened by Cities Today.

The invitation-only Forum will bring together a maximum of 20 North American city leaders in a private setting to exchange best practices through roundtable discussions, Q&A sessions, case study presentations and site visits. Select partners from industry and academia are invited to join the dialogue alongside Chief Digital/Information Officers, Smart City Managers and Directors of Innovation from local governments.

There will be short presentations from some cities followed by interactive discussions for the group. Some focus areas which have already been identified are:
  • Innovation in City Government – carrying through the momentum of digitalisation post-pandemic
  • Ethics of emerging data
  • Digital inclusion / access
Dinner, hotel and transfer costs for city participants are all covered by the Cities Today Institute. All attendees will need to to provide proof of double vaccination and/or a PCR test.

The peer-to-peer organisation of the content and the composition of the group allow for active, challenging discussions that help city leaders arrive with a series of issues and depart with solutions based on other city or partner experiences.

The Cities Today Institute provides cities with training and capacity building; leadership meetings; peer-to-peer support through an online community; a knowledge library; and bespoke research.
